Wilda Apartment

Wilda Apartment

Filming buildings and their interiors is always an interesting task that we approach with enthusiasm. It's not as simple as it may seem. The cleanliness of shots, preparing the interior for filming, and appropriate lighting play a crucial role at the outset of the work. Even with seemingly straightforward filming presentations, the concept matters. It matters everywhere we talk about moving images.

Our collaboration with RS InvestHouse aimed to showcase their latest project, which was the comprehensive renovation of an apartment in the Wilda district of Poznań. The apartment, located in a restored historic tenement house, was designated for short-term rental. The concept for this small space involved creating a comfortable yet intriguing environment. The creators of this space directly referenced the history of the former Wilda cinema by creating a replica cinema within the apartment. Thus, the apartment for short-term rental had a cinematic character, equipped with thematic murals by Yared’a Nagewo as well as a projector and a comfortable seating area.

The engagement of RS InvestHouse and their collaborators in this story was a driving force behind our efforts. We created a specific script in which we narrated the company's history, the process of creating this space, its context, and the merits of the neighborhood. From the outset, we wanted our film to be more than just a typical tour of the apartment. We wanted to tell the story of RS InvestHouse's mission, which is renovating apartments in old tenement houses, as well as the historic Wilda district.

We conducted interviews with the founders of RS InvestHouse, as well as with the artist who worked on the murals inside. We were also responsible for furnishing the apartment with functional and decorative elements. We also took on home staging. We captured drone footage showcasing the tenement, its surroundings, and the proximity of the neighborhood to the city center. We filmed the interior of the apartment using a camera and gimbal. The production took us two days. We edited the gathered material in terms of content and visual aspects to create a comprehensive story about this project and the people involved in it. We used commercially licensed music. Ultimately, we produced a promotional video incorporating elements of a reportage and a guided tour of the apartment. Additionally, we created a classic tour of the interiors for RS InvestHouse, conducted a photo session of the apartment, and announced "open door" events, which were used to promote the property on social media and short-term rental websites. Filming properties gives us a great deal of satisfaction, and incorporating personal narratives into commercial materials always makes the film more authentic.
