Megi One Yacht
When we were invited to collaborate with Megi One Yacht, we welcomed the opportunity with great enthusiasm. Filming such a vessel posed a challenge we had been anticipating, especially considering that a similar film had never been shot for this yacht before. We knew we would have to take into account numerous factors, with weather conditions being both independent of us and simultaneously decisive. We filmed in Croatia, where the weather during that season was highly unpredictable.
Our task was to create an extended promotional video of the yacht, along with photos and short clips for Megi One Yacht. This yacht is not for charter but is a private vessel. The gathered photographic and video materials were intended for documenting the renovations conducted on the yacht, professionally presenting its silhouette post-renovations, establishing a presence on social media platforms (Instagram), and accumulating materials that could be useful for future sales purposes. Additionally, we conducted a photo session portraying the crew working on the yacht during this season.
We filmed both aboard the yacht and outside it using a tender. Our aim was to showcase the beauty of the yacht's interiors, but above all, how its silhouette looks on the water - both statically and dynamically. We paid attention to details, as well as the toys available to guests. On the day of the shoot, we were prepared for inclement weather, but fortunately, it held up. This gave us an advantage over any potential weather-related issues beyond our control. We knew that from that moment on, the success of the entire project depended on us and our organizational skills.
Every element filmed on the yacht presented us with challenges. We didn't have an infinite amount of time to capture the yacht in motion, but thanks to careful planning of our work stages both inside and outside the yacht, we managed to execute the task efficiently and satisfactorily.
We utilised drones to create several videos documenting the scope of work completed on the yacht before the season, specifically for the owners' reference. Subsequently, we produced two versions of promotional videos: a longer 5-minute version and a shorter 2-minute version. For this, we employed various recording techniques, ranging from camera gimbal/slider shots to drone footage.
In the video, we showcased the interiors: lounging decks, fly bridge, master cabin, VIP cabin, twin cabin, salon, dining area, as well as the engine room, utility spaces, and corridors. We filmed the silhouette of the yacht both while stationary and in motion, utilizing drones and cameras from the tender for these shots. Drone footage was used for capturing shots of the toys. We incorporated two different musical backgrounds, meticulously editing the footage to synchronise with each soundtrack.
On the Megi One Instagram account, we published a series of edited clips set to our selected music, along with a substantial number of silhouette and detail photographs of the yacht. We conducted a photo session with the crew, showcasing their uniforms and the positions they occupy while working.
The time spent working on the yacht was highly productive, resulting in a diverse collection of material. We are confident that we successfully captured the unique atmosphere of this vessel, reflecting the vision of the owners and the collaborative effort of the team responsible for maintaining its distinctive appearance on a daily basis.
If you're considering commissioning a film or a photo shoot of your property, whether for commercial or private purposes, our response will always be enthusiastic. Regardless of what you intend to document, our first step is to understand your needs, how you perceive the project, and what it means to you. Only once we grasp your perspective do we begin preparations for executing the task—both in terms of content and technically.
The final result always reflects your individual viewpoint, yet it's filtered through our sense of aesthetics. Only imagery that evokes emotions stays in memory longer. We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with the owners and crew of Megi One Yacht.
