Strong Girl Army
Strong Girl Army
We are particularly proud of this collaboration because producing films for successful athletes is a significant honor. The opportunity to observe their daily struggles, implement discipline and routines to overcome their weaknesses, holds special importance for us. Our collaboration with Emma Charlotte Bird began with producing a film for her successful brand Strong Girl Army. Emma is a professional athlete who has ranked in the top 3 in bikini fitness at the UKBFF finals and the Arnold Classic in Barcelona. She is a true strong girl who has created her own fitness army to help other women achieve their fitness and health goals. She has achieved all of this without ignoring the most important aspect of training—the mind.
Our task was to produce promotional videos that would introduce Emma's physique to her future clients. We focused on showcasing Emma's typical strength training session because we believed that at this stage, she would be the best ambassador for herself. Filming with a small team allowed us to not disrupt Emma's training flow. We had the ability to react quickly while still paying attention to details. From the beginning, we knew what shots we wanted to capture and what final effect we were aiming for. We contrasted shots of intense, dynamic training with moments where Emma prepares for the next set of exercises or takes a break. This reflects the typical gym workout—no athlete is a robot, and moments of rest are an important part of physical transformation. We edited the collected footage to a specific musical background, allowing us to weave a rhythmic narrative about Emma's gym routine, her resilience. Music plays a crucial role in sports promotional films and also during training or relaxation. This is known not only to fans of the Rocky series but also to those who have crossed the threshold of the gym. The film is short, solid, and content-rich. Additionally, we created a backstage video from that shooting day.
Emma was very pleased with the results we achieved together. Our collaboration continued during numerous photoshoots, which enriched her social media and the Strong Girl Army website. We also created a vlog documenting her trip to the Arnold Classic in Spain. Emma remains active professionally to this day, and her company continues to help many women in their comprehensive fitness journey.
Producing promotional films for athletes and their companies has been a significant part of our work for a long time. We feel very comfortable in this environment and understand what elements such material must fulfill. For us, the most important factor is to detach the athlete from the image of an invincible robot. Only by portraying them as ordinary people who have achieved this level through immense hard work can we fully understand and admire them. From our perspective, the visual documentary form works perfectly here, and it's always something more demanding than just dynamically edited footage of high-level training. In this regard, we consider ourselves a true strong army.
