We were invited to create a promotional video for the Gulfstream G150 jet for Chronpesel.pl. The Gulfstream G150 belongs to the midsize jet category. Due to its vast range and achieved speed, the aircraft is among the most powerful and fastest jets in its class. Our task was to showcase the silhouette of the jet as well as its interior. The film was intended to be short, concise, and discreetly feature the company's logo.
We filmed the interior shots of the jet during the flight. Due to limited space and greater freedom of movement, we opted for a camera and gimbal setup. During the flight, we encountered some difficulties with stabilizing the camera due to the natural motion of the jet. However, we managed to overcome them and obtained the shots we aimed for. In such a confined space (the jet is designed to accommodate 6 passengers), we captured the passenger area and all its amenities: the restroom, details, as well as the cockpit.
Our goal was to authentically portray the pilots' pre-flight preparations, which we achieved—these shots are genuine. By introducing the camera into the cockpit, we also showcased its proportions and the cockpit from their perspective. We attained an intriguing perspective where viewers feel as if they are inside the jet during the flight.
The shots of the jet's silhouette were captured at the airport where the hangar housing the jet is located. The company logo on the front of the hangar served as a means to present the company's name. When filming the jet's structure, we opted for slightly longer shots, which, due to the size of the aircraft, were feasible for inclusion in the film of this length. We edited the footage directly to the music we selected.
Both the owners of the Gulfstream G150 jet and its pilots were satisfied with the final footage. We are pleased to have tackled such a task. Besides the enjoyable flight, we gained new experience working in the air. We proved that we can work quickly, efficiently, and effectively regardless of the prevailing conditions. We know that any object can be filmed to breathe life into it. And we know exactly how to do it.
